Equipment:
I recently switched to using TC Electronic effect pedals. For bass I don't really need that much effects, so I chose the Classic XII Phaser, the Vintage Distortion and the Vintage Tremelo.. The Classic Phaser has a lot of options to tailor the sound, from extreme resonating settings to smooth psychedelic waveforms. There is no tonesuck in the low end so this pedal works great with bass guitar too. I usually put the phaser behind the distortion to make the effect more extreme, but for more delicate effects it's nice to put it in front of the distortion.

Although TC Electronic also offer a Vintage Bass Distortion, I went for the Vintage Distortion, which was just a matter of taste. Both pedals have rather different distortion characters. The Vintage Distortion is designed for guitar but I like the way it works with bass too. There is a small amount of low end cut-off, but since Autumn isn't all that low-tuned, this won't be a problem.

Last up is the TC Electronic Vintage Tremelo, which is what it does, in a very nice and clear way.
