nfortunately, due to disappointing presales, the organisation has decided to cancel the Gothic Metal Palace festival.
A statement from the organisation, and information about ticket refunds, can be found here.
Our next show will now be at the Wacken Open Air festival, on the first of August.

16-05-2008 - Zoetermeer show cancelled
D
oor het plotseling overlijden van de vader van Jan Grijpstra heeft de band besloten niet te spelen op zaterdag 17 Mei in de Boerderij te Zoetermeer.
Het is op dit moment nog niet bekend of deze show zal worden verzet naar een latere datum. We houden jullie op de hoogte. We wensen Jan en zijn familie veel sterkte.
De show op Pagepop (25 Mei) gaat gewoon door.
Due to the unexpected death of Jan Grijpstra's father, the band has decided not to play the show that was scheduled for Saturday May 17th at the Boerderij in
Zoetermeer. We don't know yet if the show will be rescheduled. We will keep you posted.
The Pagepop (May 25th) show will go on as planned. Our thoughts go out to Jan and his family in these hard times.

e would like to thank everyone who came to see our show last Saturday at the Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig, we had a blast, thank you!
Upcoming weekend, the 17th of May, we will play a double-headline show with the Dutch progressive rock band
Kingfisher Sky at the Boerderij in Zoetermeer.
This will be a special night since both bands will play a full-lenght set and, moreover, this will be the first show in Holland with Marjan behind the microphone.

e are currently rehearsing for the upcoming shows and festivals that will start May 10th in Leipzig, Germany. Furthermore we are writing and pre-producing new material for
the fourth Autumn record due somewhere in Autumn of this year.
Since we are very excited about the new material, we will tryout some of these new songs during the upcoming shows.
So stay tuned, some more shows scheduled for May and August will be added to the toursection and we will have more news about the new album soon.

the 9th to the 13th of May.

Marjan Welman is the new voice of Autumn

e are very proud to welcome Marjan as the new singer of Autumn!
As it wasn't easy to fill the gap Nienke left behind, we took our time to find the best possible replacement. Marjan quickly became one of our favourites.
She stole our hearts during the first audition with her enthusiasm and powerful rendition of Autumn songs.
After auditioning some other remarkable singers, it became clear Marjan had all the qualities we were looking for. She is one of the best-kept secrets in the Dutch music
scene and we are delighted to write the next chapter for the big Autumn book with her.
Besides singing in her band Elister, Marjan contributed to a number of projects of which the most recent, the Ayreon album
'01011001' received outstanding reviews and shows a singer who stands her ground between
a selection of highly acclaimed international vocalists.
Marjan will make her stage debut with Autumn at a number of major summer festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Metal Gothic Palace and Summer Breeze, and she will be fully
involved in the currently ongoing writing process of the follow up record to "My New Time".

We zijn ontzettend trots dat we Marjan binnen de Autumn-clan mogen verwelkomen!
Omdat het opvullen van het gat dat Nienke heeft achtergelaten geen simpele opgave is, zijn we niet over ้้n nacht ijs gegaan en hebben we de tijd genomen om ons grondig te
ori๋nteren. Marjan overtuigde ons echter al vanaf het begin met haar enthousiasme en haar prachtige vertolking van Autumn's nummers, waardoor ze al snel de gedoodverfde
favoriet werd. Uiteindelijk bleek ze, ondanks flinke concurrentie, de beste papieren te hebben om met Autumn de toekomst tegemoet te treden. Naar onze mening is zij ้้n van
de best bewaarde geheimen in de Nederlandse muziekwereld en we zijn dan ook uitermate opgetogen dat we gezamenlijk een nieuw hoofdstuk kunnen gaan schrijven.
Naast zingen in haar eigen band Elister heeft Marjan bijgedragen aan een aantal projecten. Haar laatste wapenfeit,
een bijdrage aan het album '01011001' van de band Ayreon, kon rekenen op lovende recensies en
laat een zangeres horen die zich makkelijk staande houdt tussen een keur aan internationaal hoog aangeschreven artiesten.
Marjan zal haar live-debuut met autumn maken op een aantal zomerfestivals zoals Wacken Open Air, Metal Gothic Palace en Summer Breeze, en zal intensief betrokken worden bij het
schrijfproces van de opvolger van 'My New Time', wat al in volle gang is.
